Growing herbs is very different from growing vegetables. Did you know that Fall is the time to plant many native herbs so they can rest, be nourished, and become strong during the colder months so they can sprout in Spring? Many hardy herbs can be grown in containers all year long, including coriander, fennel, lavender, marjoram, oregano, parsley, sage, rosemary, tarragon, and more. Herbalist Amanda Midkiff will discuss types of herbs used in soothing ailments, introduce native herbs to plant in the Fall, and what is easy to grow in containers to access when cooking.
