This is the fifth class in series “Practical Herbalism: Remedies and Techniques for Everyday Wellness.”
For some of us, sleep can be elusive. This can be a frustrating and complex issue. Herbs can be helpful allies on the path to a good night’s sleep. In this class we’ll discuss:
Herbal sedatives — the heavy hitters
Herbal nervines, which work on the nervous system
Herbal antispasmodics, which relax the body
The nuances and characters of different “sleep herbs” and how to make the right blend for you.
We will also learn the traditional art of making herbal oxymels — vinegar syrups. Oxymels are extremely delicious and lovely. You will make an oxymel to take home.

You do not need to take all classes in the series. Feel free to take just one, or a few.
No experience is necessary.
This class is offered on a sliding scale: $35-$45.

CLASS LOCATION
These classes are held in the kitchen of The Farm Cooking School. To get to the school, wind your way all the way up to the top of the property, following signs for "The Farm Cooking School." Park in the lot beside the building and enter through the white door with the ramp.
Depending on the weather and time of year, classes involve time in the Apothecary Garden, located near the school.
