THIS HANDS-ON SERIES GETS YOU IN THE KITCHEN CRAFTING, BLENDING, FORMULATING, AND MAKING MEDICINE WITH HERBS!

This class is part of our Practical Herbalism Series.

For some of us, sleep can be elusive. This can be a frustrating and complex issue. Herbs can be helpful allies on the path to a good night’s sleep. In this class we’ll explore:

  • Herbal sedatives — the heavy hitters

  • Herbal nervines, which work on the nervous system

  • Herbal antispasmodics, which relax the body

  • The nuances and characters of different “sleep herbs” and how to make the right blend for you.

Herbs you’ll meet: Hops, Valerian, Passionflower, Wild Lettuce, California Poppy, Suan Zao Ren (Zizyphus Seed).

We will also learn the traditional art of making herbal oxymels — vinegar syrups. Oxymels are extremely delicious and lovely. You will make an oxymel to take home.
