Herbal Self-Care -- Working with a Plant Ally

  • Locust Light Farm 67 Pleasant Valley Rd Titusville, NJ 08560 (map)
Self-care self-love rattle

Plants have so much to offer us beyond healing on the physical plane. Plants are our allies, available in every moment to support us through our growing paths, to help us zoom out or zoom in on life’s travails, to remind us of what is constant and true.

But how do we access this? What does it mean to have a “plant ally” or to really connect with a plant? How do we hear them? How can we develop and trust our own intuition?

This class is an expression of love, from myself & the plants to you. I have leaned on the plants at so many difficult moments, large and small. They have guided my decisions and informed the care I give to myself and my family. The direct support & advice that the plants give me continues to both surprise and not-at-all surprise me.

I want each person to have access to this ancestral, personal way of connecting with the plant world. I want you to feel empowered to work with plants in this way, to allow them to care for you as you care for yourself.

In this class we will:

  • Choose a plant ally to work with during the class

  • Explore a variety of ways of connecting with the plant: sipping its tea, burning the herb, preparing an herbal bath.

  • Learn how to “journey” with the plant to access its wisdom in a direct way.

  • Channel a “love letter” from the plant to yourself

  • Practice hearing and trusting your intuition

  • Craft a self-care roll-on with the plant to invoke its wisdom & support in your daily life
