One of the most amazing and humbling aspects of herbalism is that people have been working with plants for thousands of years, and traditional herbal preparations are a reliable (and often the best) way to get the medicinal benefits of herbs.
People of the past may not have been using technology to examine plants at the molecular level, but they knew what they were doing. Often, when you’re not sure how to use an herb, looking to traditional uses is a good path to take.
In this class, we will explore fat-soluble herbs: what that means, and how to work with them. You’ll be amazed at the herbs that you know that are best extracted into fat, and you’ll leave with new ways of incorporating herbs into your life.
In this class we will:
Discuss what makes certain herbs “fat soluble”
Learn which herbs are best extracted into fat
Explore the many fun ways of extracting herbs into fat
Prepare a delicious, traditional Ashwagandha drink
Learn how to make ghee
Each participant will make delicious, medicinal herbal ghee to take home!
