allergy season is coming early this year
I took Althea to the park today. I wore a long-sleeved shirt and a sweatshirt, and I dressed her the same way. Five minutes into swinging, I took off both our sweatshirts. As I write this, my windows are open and I'm wearing shorts.
Here on the east coast, it seems that all we can talk about is how strange it feels that it's so warm right now. The topic hasn't gotten old -- it keeps getting warmer, so it keeps feeling weirder, a visceral reminder of how uncertain our future is.
The weirdest thing about being alive right now is that, though it constantly feels like huge changes are looming ahead, we're still living in the present moment. We still have mundane issues to attend to, like taxes and housecleaning and.... preparing for allergy season.
If you deal with allergies, then this early spring means that allergy season is coming earlier this year -- much earlier. And, unfortunately, climate change has led to rising pollen counts each year. So it's also getting worse.
In the past, I taught my allergy class, Free + Clear, in mid-March, which gave students enough time to prepare their bodies for allergy season (it helps if you get a jump on it). Today, mid-March feels way too late.
Well, here we are. I've spent the past few weeks updating the course, and it’s now available. Somehow it feels late, but what's that saying about planting a tree? The best time was 40 years ago, the second best time is today?
If you have allergies, today is the day. It's time to start preparing. I'm here to help you.
I've made some exciting updates to the class this year. I've changed the formula so that it's easy to actually take the class, and I've added a payment plan option so that if you need allergy help, you can get it!
yours in easy breathing,
Amanda
