the magic of winter solstice season

Welcome to the Inward Spiral -- the season of waning daylight, first snowfalls, and chilly evenings. It is the season of Winter Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere.

Solstice Season is an invitation to draw inward, to reflect on the year that has passed and set intentions for the year to come.

Solstice holds the magic of stillness, of clarity, of the pause that lets new revelations bubble forth.

Solstice Season is unique in that our modern lifestyles can cause us to be especially out-of-alignment with its energies. This can lead to sadness, anxiety, or, seasonal depression; at the least, it can lead to missing out on the magic of one of the most magical times of year.

This is one of my favorite times of year. I relish the opportunity to draw inward, reflect, and dreamweave the future. Taking time to pause during Solstice Season has become the foundation of my self care and the mindful start to my new year.

This year, I’m teaching a class to share with you my most precious practices and potions for this time of year.

Join me on a winter's morning as I share with you my favorite ways to>

  • appreciate the beauty of this rather gray season

  • mindfully prepare for the new year

  • find inspiration on long nights

  • prepare medicinal -- and magical -- decoctions and elixirs

  • find harmony within yourself during the holidays
